Roadshow
As part of the celebrations, audiences gathered for a recital featuring talented students and alumni of the Accademia Verdiana, who performed a programme of renowned operatic works by composers including Verdi, Rossini, Donizetti, Bellini, Puccini and Bizet. The concert highlighted the artistic excellence fostered by the academy while offering a platform for emerging voices in opera.
More than an anniversary event, Regio197 was conceived as an opportunity to strengthen the connection between the theatre and the wider community. Throughout the day, a series of initiatives invited audiences to engage with the institution, celebrating not only its remarkable history but also its role as a living cultural space that continues to inspire new generations.
The event reflected the Teatro Regio di Parma’s commitment to preserving its rich operatic heritage while embracing the present through education, participation and artistic development. By placing young artists at the heart of the celebrations, Regio197 underscored the importance of supporting emerging talent and ensuring that opera remains accessible, relevant and vibrant for future audiences.
As the theatre continues its journey towards its landmark anniversary, Regio197 offered a meaningful moment to celebrate nearly two centuries of artistic achievement and the enduring power of live performance to bring people together.
